
Valle Nevado is part of the Three Valleys of the Andes, which also include El Colorado and La Parva. Visitors may purchase an interconnect ticket which allows them to ski all three at once. Valle Nevado has extensive terrain and long runs, with excellent off-piste terrain, and world-class heliskiing. Built by a French company, Valle Nevado provides a European feel to the skiers and snowboarders who visit the area. Travel by bus or by car from Santiago takes about 1 hour, depending on the weather and road conditions, which is a short trip considering Valle Nevado is one of Chile's best developed resorts, with a full-service infrastructure that includes a disco, spa, and shopping. Eight restaurants give skiers plenty of options in regards to dining as well. Valle Nevado provides skiers and snowboarders with a good bet for day skiing, as well as multi day ski vacations. There are three on site, first class hotels from which to choose: the Hotel Valle Nevado, 53 rooms; the Hotel Puerta del Sol, 122 rooms, and the Hotel Tres Puntas with 91 rooms. The Hotel Valle Nevado with spectacular views from the Grand Terrace has elegant styling, while the Puerta del Sol may have a more "family" feel. Tres Puntas is less formal and a favorite with local skiers and boarders. Snow school employes 50 bilingual international instructors and mountain guides. Lessons for all levels. Ski shop has rentals for skiers and riders, retail items and repair services. Heliskiing available directly from the resort.
