Portillo in Chile is a growing resort owned and run by Americans. This means that it has all the mod-cons you'd expect including fast Internet and a cyber cafe. Some may find the number of runs a little limited but they're well planned and well maintained. However, the efficient lift system and superb open-bowl powder means there's something for everyone. If Chile is somewhere you're looking to go skiing this summer then Portillo is recommended. 2012 Scheduled Opening date: Mid June 2012 Scheduled Closing date: September Top Elevation: 10204 feet Base levation: 9,450 feet Vertical Drop: 2501 feet Skiable Terrain: 801 Acres Terrain Park: Yes Halfpipe: No Total Number Of Lifts: 12 Surface Lifts: 7 Chair Lifts: 5 # of Trails: 34 Beginner: 15% Intermediate: 60% Advanced: 25%
