Casa Farellones    Located on a ridge at the southern edge of the village of Farellones, with panoramic views on three sides, Casa Farellones is five minutes walk on road or slide on skis from the ski lifts at Farellones (you can ski back) and five minutes drive from the ski base at La Parva or El Colorado (you can ski all the way back from here too).    Valle Nevado (the third linked valley / resort in the area) is a 15 minute drive but can be accessed easily on skis from either El Colorado or La Parva ski areas (needs a multi resort pass) .    Services included in rental Daily maid service (cleaning and making up beds) Bed linen and bath towels provided Electricity, water and local phone calls included in weekly rent    Services that can be provided (at additional charge) Shopping for groceries in Santiago) Cooking meals

Getting there

 
From the airport, follow the signs for Santiago City Center, get on the Costanera Norte expressway, which takes you to and through (mainly under) the city. Take Exit 11 – Kennedy (which is off to the left – the center of the road!!) follow straight along Kennedy Avenue which becomes Avenue Las Condes. If you need to stop to buy groceries, the Jumbo supermarket on the lower level of Alto Las Condes (Exit 2b) off Kennedy is the best option – see the Shopping section for details.

Continue up Avenue Las Condes (look out for signs to Ski Areas, Farellones, La Parva, Valle Nevado etc) until you get to the YPF petrol (gas) station, here you take the right fork off Avenue Las Condes, onto the mountain road. The first 20 km are windy but two laned. For the last 15 km to Farellones (after the police and snow chains check point – chains are required in winter and can be rented on the approach road) the road forks right again and becomes very narrow (drive with caution).

After "40 Curvas" you arrive at the village or Farellones and a road fork, right heads off to Valle Nevado, left to Farellones, La Parva and Colorado. Turn left and proceed on the main village road for about 250 meters, then take Camino La Capilla (unpaved) road on your right, follow it up the hill (curving to the left) for about 200 meters. Take the third lane to the right, which heads steeply up hill. Casa Farellones is the second home on your right (it will be easy to recognize from the photographs you saw on the web page).
